Scenario

In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job she’s not suited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future. The producers convinced the American and British governments to let them use real-life locations as filming locations for the series, including the brand-new American embassy (in Nine Elms).

The only location that wasn’t available was Winfield House, the royal residence of the American ambassador. Although it’s accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London outside Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.

I would have happily sat down and watched another 8 episodes

This was so good that I watched all 8 episodes and started screaming in frustration at the TV when the last one ended. One of those rare gems where every character in the quality cast has a well-developed personality, where every plot twist, even the most complex, can be followed.

This is original, clever, and very, very well done
