Scenario

The psychic tries to uncover the truth behind her sister’s murder at the crime scene. The weirdos consisted entirely of “cherry-picked horror tropes” by Mc Carthy. The Woodman was inspired by the Jewish folklore of the golem, a large clay figure that can be brought to life through rituals to carry out the commands of its creator. Dani Timmins: [who is blind] I have no idea what you look like.

Yana: Excuse me? Dani Timmins: Do I look stupid? Yana: No. Dani Timmins: My sister and I were identical, so that must mean she didn’t look stupid.

But we still wanted it to be seen

There’s a RiverWriter by Harry Bird Performed by Harry Bird and the Rubber Wellies courtesy of Hot Drop Records. I love seeing a horror movie without knowing too much about it beforehand. I saw the trailer a couple of times, which didn’t give much plot. The setting is simple…a cottage in the Irish countryside, which allows the filmmakers to create an eerie atmosphere for the audience, and they did a great job of making me feel like myself.

in a good way

The small cast gives depth to the characters, especially Carolyn Bracken, who gives the film much of its creepy flavor. As the plot progresses, it starts to feel somewhat familiar… But while it doesn’t break the mold with other films of this genre, the filmmakers and the cast make it feel fresh. If you like atmospheric slow burns, you will appreciate this film.

You’ll still get a few well-done jump scares

and maybe even a few laughs (in a good way).
